Since 1983, our lives have been changed by the product of human intelligence. That is the Internet. In the following years, shopping is not the first choice when we need to buy products. Our traditional ways of living have been changed. The way of working, learning and also the way we make friends. Now, cyber friend is ubiquitous, but to my mind, I think it is not wise enough to make friends online. The reasons are as follows.
To begin with, the way of making friends: cheating. Internet, as far as I know, has to bear the stigma of virtue, the dilemma goes deep whether to public our private information or not when you choose to make friends online. Our impression on cyber friend begins with the name and ends up with the gender and age. To make a perfect first impression, the best way is cheating. How perfect you are based on the skill and degree we cheat. Behind the screen brain cell rather than real and sincere emotion we use to make friends. We cheat and guess each other, that is the way we establish and develop friendship, that is the way we ruin each other. Hardly for to say it is wise.
Second, being a cyber friend we can’t fulfill our obligation as a friend. To normal friend, talking is not the only way of communicating; paying or even fighting can accelerate friendship. Unfortunately, it seems there is no extra way for communication which is a part and parcel in understanding. What else can you do, as a cyber friend to reassure your cyber friend who is upset, except hours of talking to show your real or phony sympathy. That’s far more enough to be called friend.
Finally, the regrettable result of the cyber friend. After years of netizen life, the long list of your friend reminds how rich you are in the number of friend. But hardly can you get your depression and sadness understood, words like “who are you” may put a damper on your mood of talking. Obviously, the friendship based on the brain cell can not last too long, after passion dies down, people show nothing short of ridicule when they empty the list of friend.
To draw a conclusion, it is unwise to make friends online. From the above analyze, it is totally a way of wasting time. The risks involved will ruin your life.
